Shiv Pujan is a deeply devotional ritual in Hindu tradition, dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the most powerful and revered deities. Lord Shiva is worshipped as the destroyer of negativity and evil, and also as the giver of wisdom, peace, and spiritual awakening. Devotees perform Shiv Pujan with great faith to ask for blessings, protection, and guidance in life.
During the pujan, devotees offer water, milk, belpatra, flowers, incense, fruits, and sweets to the Shiva Lingam or idol of Lord Shiva. Chanting of mantras such as “Om Namah Shivaya” creates a calm and divine atmosphere. The ritual is often performed on Mondays, during Shivratri, or on other auspicious occasions.
Shiv Pujan teaches devotion, simplicity, discipline, and inner strength. It is believed that worshipping Lord Shiva removes obstacles, brings mental peace, and fills life with positivity and harmony.
